This piece is defined by an elegant economy of form and function. As a clock, its features are subtle, allowing the natural beauty of the wood to speak for itself. Figure, grain, and depth take center stage, while hidden storage and a sculptural presence make it as functional as it is distinctive.

This clock's body is cherry with a signature crown of curly maple around the rim. The hand-carved Roman numerals in the face are filled with a blue opalescent epoxy resin as are the naturally occurring voids in the wood. The interior shelves are made of hard maple while the back and clock face are quilted maple. The shelf depth is 4 1/4 inches. The front of the clock face is finished with high-gloss epoxy resin, a highly durable finish. The back of the clock face and clock body are finished with multiple coats of hardening finishing oil which has a warm, satin sheen.
